Mel Steals has served in a number of leadership capacities for PNC Financial Services Group over the last eighteen years including his current role in PNC Treasury Management as a Senior Vice President tasked with strategy development and long term planning. Under Mel’s direction, the Treasury Management division has been at the forfront of PNC’s efforts to introduce robotics and machine learning into its back office. Prior to his current role, Mel launched an invoice automation service at PNC that encompassed the conversion of paper invoices to digital data for processing, the integration with one of the world’s largest E-invoicing networks and a feature rich AP workflow tool. Before joining PNC Treasury Management, Mel was a member of PNC’s corporate wide Continuous Improvement Team focused on driving efficiency for shared services. He has also served as Chief Financial Officer for PNC’s Corporate Performance Measurement group and managed PNC’s Corporate Strategic Planning function working closely with executive management and supporting board activities.
