John Transier leads Harland Clarke Holdings Finance Shared Services, responsible for Treasury, Financial Reporting and Internal Audit, including the development and implementation of centers of excellence for record-to-report, bill-to-cash, purchase-to-pay and hire-to-retire.

With over 30 years of experience, John has developed his financial thought leadership by contributing to the success of global corporations in numerous sectors throughout the US and the world. Most recently with Becton Dickinson, John was responsible for global business services, financial controls, risk management, financial consolidation & reporting and the North America financial shared services. Prior, he was Vice President of Finance, Enterprise Support, for Unilever’s global business services organization, overseeing the team’s strategic planning, financial management and control. As chief financial officer of Travelport Corporation’s Global Operations, John managed global finance transformation, finance shared services and global operations. Earlier in John’s career he held finance & accounting leadership roles with HP/Compaq in the US and Europe. He began his career at Mobil Oil Corporation providing accounting services and decision support. John is a CPA, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas State University – San Marcos and a Master of Arts in Applied Econometrics from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas.
