America’s Foremost Political Columnist

George F. Will’s newspaper column has been syndicated by The Washington Post since 1974. Today it appears twice weekly in just under 400 newspapers in the United States and in Europe. In 1976, he became a regular contributing editor of Newsweek magazine, for which he provides a bimonthly back-page essay. In 1977 he won a Pulitzer Prize for commentary in his newspaper columns.

Altogether eight collections of Will’s Newsweek and Washington Post columns have been published, the most recent being With A Happy Eye But…: America and the World, 1997-2002 (2002). Will has also published three books on political theory, Statecraft as Soulcraft: What Government Does (1983), The New Season: A Spectator’s Guide to the 1988 Election (1987), Restoration: Congress, Term Limits and The Recovery of Deliberative Democracy (1992) and One Man’s America: The Pleasures and Provocations of our Singular Nation (2008). In 1990, Will published Men At Work: The Craft of Baseball, which topped The New York Times best-seller list for two months. In 1998, Scribner published Bunts: Curt Flood, Camden Yards, Pete Rose and Other Reflections on Baseball, a best-selling collection of new and previously published writings by Will on baseball. In July 2000, Will was a member of Major League Baseball’s Blue Ribbon Panel, examining baseball economics.

In 1981, Will became a founding panel member on ABC television’s This Week.

Will was born in Champaign, Illinois, educated at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, Oxford University and Princeton University, where he earned his Ph.D. He has taught political philosophy at Michigan State University, the University of Toronto and Harvard University. Will served as a staff member in the United States Senate from 1970 to 1972. From 1973 through 1976, he was the Washington editor of National Review magazine. Today, Will lives and works in the Washington, D.C. area.

Graham joined Astra Zeneca PLC in September 2007 in the then, newly created position as Head of Global Transaction Processing, based in Wilmington, Delaware. This role was created as a consequence of the G&A initiative of the Fast Forward transformation programme, with the goal of consolidating all transactional processes globally to gain organizational efficiencies and process improvements.

Graham joined Astra Zeneca following 6 years at Orange Business Services (a subsidiary of France Telecom, formerly known as Equant) where initially as VP of Finance Systems & Processes, he led the Business Transformation of the Finance Function. Subsequently he became VP of Finance and led the Global Finance Shared Services organization, which supported 200+ countries and territories, eventually entering a Business Process Outsourcing arrangement, which transferred much of the function to India and Poland.

Prior to joining Equant, Graham spent 18 years with NCR Corporation (and AT&T Corporation when NCR was acquired) in positions of increasing responsibility including CFO for Latin America, CFO and Head of Business Operations for Customer Services Europe Middle East Africa and Area Managing Director, Southern Europe.
Graham joined NCR from KPMG where he had been Manager of the Financial Consulting Practice following an early career in audit.

Graham originally from Scotland, is a graduate of the University of Aberdeen and a Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. As a consequence of his international business experience, Graham has lived in five countries, traveled through more than 60 and has had management responsibility for all geographies in the world. Graham, who lives in Reston Virginia, is married with three children and again as a function of his travels, each of the five family members has a different nationality.

Jay has extensive expertise in designing and implementing offshoring strategies, having worked on both the buy-side and the sell-side, and his experience includes a broad spectrum of exposure across the sourcing lifecycle, including strategy development, supplier selection, contract negotiation, transition management, vendor management, and ongoing service delivery.

Mark has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of shared services, location strategy, cost reduction, and corporate real estate. He founded Deloitte’s corporate real estate and location strategy practices more than 15 years ago.

Mark has written and spoken extensively on shared services delivery, location strategy, cost management, and corporate real estate. Appointed to the Federal Senior Executive Service in 1999, Rick Arbuthnot is recognized for his executive leadership capability and expertise in Shared Services, Competency Management, Executive Succession Planning, and Organizational Structure and Design.  Most recently, he has managed all aspects of NASA’s Shared Services start-up effort on the Gulf Coast in the wake of this nation’s worst ever national disaster (Hurricane Katrina) and has served as the Executive Director, NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC), since December, 2003.  As Executive Director, Rick has managed the largest public-private procurement competition in the Agency’s history.  He also led the Agency Shared Services Transition Team, tasked with executing the minute details associated with consolidating over fifty Agency-wide administrative activities across ten geographically dispersed field centers in the areas of Human Resources, Procurement, Financial Management and Information Technology.  Rick now manages all aspects of NASA’s newest field Center, including staffing the approximately 500-person organization, ensuring all facility, IT, and electronic document management systems are in place to operate the organization.  Further, he manages a $55-$60 million dollar annual operating budget, and is responsible for total vendor payments of over $17 billion a year and oversees the business systems associated with administering NSSC’s fee-for-service chargeback mechanism.  His fiscal stewardship has provided significant savings to NASA by more than doubling the original savings projections and by paying off the original shared services investment of $30 million dollars in 3.1 years -- yielding an impressive 52% internal rate of return.  Under Rick’s leadership, the NSSC team has been recognized twice on the national stage – in 2009, by the International Quality and Productivity Center (IQPC), Shared Services Outsourcing Network, as Best New “Captive” Shared Services Organization; and, in 2008, by the President’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for cost savings/cost avoidance.

From 1999 – 2004, Rick served in a key leadership role at the NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC) directing all aspects of the Human Resources function for approximately 1,800 highly trained engineers, administrative professionals, and technicians, who oversee the Nation's primary space launch center and its large supporting contractor workforce of approximately 12,000 employees. He is recognized for the cutting-edge initiatives he spearheaded while managing the NASA civil service human resources program at KSC in the areas of human resources management policy development, training, succession planning, workforce planning and analysis, and knowledge management tools.

In addition to numerous performance and team awards, Rick received a Presidential Meritorious Executive Rank Award in 2004, the NASA Exceptional Service Medal in 2001 and the NASA Exceptional Achievement Medal in 1996.

Rick is a graduate of Kansas State University with a Master's degree in Public Administration, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska.  Additionally, he has also completed post-graduate coursework at the University of Michigan Business School.

Richard E. Munczinski is senior vice president - Shared Services, responsible for Information Technology, Human Resources and Business Logistics.

Munczinski joined AEP in 1978 in the Project Engineering department and transferred to Corporate Planning and Budgeting in 1982. He became director of rate case management in 1992 and vice president - Regulatory Services in 1996. During this period, he led the regulatory approval process for the merger with CSW. He was named senior vice president - Corporate Planning and Budgeting in 1998.

Prior to joining AEP, Munczinski was an electrical engineer for Ebasco Services Inc., New York. Munczinski earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in management science from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
He resides in New Albany, Ohio, with his wife, and they have two grown children

Ron Gillette is the Senior Managing Director, Finance and Accounting. In this capacity, he's responsible for the ongoing operation and continuing growth of ACS' Finance & Accounting outsourced services. This business unit is comprised of approximately 6,000 employees located in 11 delivery centers strategically located around the globe and provides services to 20 of the world's leading businesses.

Ron has 18 years of global BPO and Information technology (IT) experience across a broad spectrum of industries including automotive and manufacturing, financial services, communications, travel and transportation, healthcare, retail, consumer goods, life sciences and government. His experience has taken him throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin America, and North America.

Prior to joining ACS, he was a Senior Partner with Accenture, responsible for growing their global business process outsourcing (BPO), including F&A, HR and procurement outsourcing. Before that, he was a Managing Partner at Deloitte Consulting, where he built and led that company's global IT outsourcing business, creating a global network of delivery centers that provide applications and BPO services. He was also a partner at Ernst & Young, spearheading their outsourcing efforts with a focus on technology, business process, and applications, and served as Country Manager for EDS in Russia and Eastern Europe.

Samuel Poston is a partner and senior vice president with ScottMadden and has been a management consultant for more than 25 years. As a pioneer in the shared service industry, Samuel formed the firm's shared services practice in the early 1990's and has led it since. He specializes in linking internal shared services delivery systems to corporate strategies and goals.

Mr. Poston is an internationally recognized "passionate" expert in shared services and is frequently called upon to address the subject of shared services to a wide variety of audiences. He has served more than 50 clients in a variety of industries, including energy utilities, government, technology, entertainment, pulp and paper, services, retail, and manufacturing. Prior to joining ScottMadden was manger of HR at General Electric, an internal organization development consultant and a clinical therapist.

Samir has over 15 years of experience, of which the last 10 years have been dedicated to helping clients design, implement and optimize global shared service strategies in F&A, Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Order to Cash and IT Outsourcing/ Offshoring business areas for large and mid-sized enterprises.  His industry experience includes deep domain experience in Leasing and Commercial Finance, Business Services, Hospitality, Consumer Durables, CPG and Property & Casualty Insurance industries.

Samir is a Chartered Accountant from India by training and is a graduate of the Unilever Management Trainee and GE Accelerated Leadership programs.

Secret Holland is currently serving as the HR Direct service center manager where she is responsible for implementing and leading a shared services organization for Human Resources which provides routine, administrative functions for 37,000 Southern Company employees, managers and retirees.

Previously Mrs. Holland served as Team Leader in Talent Acquisition and as HR Generalist for various Southern Company subsidiaries including Georgia Power Company, Southern Company Services and Southern LINC Wireless Communications bringing her total Southern Company HR experience to 11 years. She also has a total of 17 years experience in Southern Company's Supply Chain organization including contracts and vendor management, purchasing and inventory systems design, budgeting, training, and development of policies and procedures.

Mrs. Holland has a Masters Degree in Management and a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, both from Georgia State University in Atlanta. She is a Senior Professional in Human Resources and a Certified Purchasing Manager.

Sena Kwawu assumed his current role in January 2009 after serving as SVP, Global Sourcing. He leads a globally dispersed team that manages the $600MM+ purchase base of Genworth Financial, with a focus on improving the company’s expense ratio while improving the value of services received. He is also responsible for the Corporate Insurance Group, which manages the insurance needs and requirements of the company, Expense Reporting, Accounts Payables and Travel Management Group, which manages Genworth’s travel and card management processes.

Sena joined the General Electric Company in 1993, auditing GE Capital’s businesses around the world. He went on to hold roles of increased responsibility in Finance, Six Sigma Quality and Risk Management until October 2003. He was promoted to SVP, Business Planning & Analysis – Protection Segment where he led finance actives for that strategic business unit during Genworth’s initial public offering. In August 2006, he assumed responsibility for the Global Sourcing organization.

Prior to joining GE, Sena worked in commercial loans with Bank of America in Washington, D.C. Sena earned a BBA degree from George Washington University, and a MBA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is a member of the National Black MBA Association, the Genworth African American Forum, and The Executive Leadership Council.

Steve E. Cox is Managing Director of GTS Express-wide Planning & Engineering for Federal Express. His responsibilities include the oversight of global initiatives impacting clearance operations with a focus to improve the clearance process. Further, he plays a leading role in the corporate strategy development and vision setting through process or technology enhancements for clearance and brokerage operations. Mr. Cox is also responsible for the process monitoring of one of FedEx’s key systems for delivery of shipment images to all clearance locations globally.

Prior to Mr. Cox’s current assignment, he was based in Singapore where he was the Managing Director, Southeast Asia District with responsibilities in overseeing the business development and operations for the Southeast Asia countries, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Indochina and Brunei. During his Singapore assignment, Mr. Cox also served as the Managing Director, Regional Planning & Engineering for the South Pacific region. In that job capacity, he spearheaded tactical planning for ground operations, as well as ramp and clearance operations in the South Pacific region. He also played an advisory role the Operating Directors and the Regional Vice President.

Mr. Cox has been with FedEx since 1983. He started as an Engineer for FedEx’s Worldwide Hub operations in Memphis, Tennessee. Since then, he has held several management positions in various Engineering divisions in the company. Mr. Cox is a native of Memphis, Tennessee, attended the University of Memphis, receiving a Bachelor degree in Engineering Technology and has also completed the Executive Masters of Business Administration with the Kellogg Business School of Management (Northwestern University) extension in Hong Kong. Mr. Cox currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee with his wife Judy.

Clark has also been a Managing Director at BearingPoint and was a National Director of Andersen, LLP where she led projects in finance transformation, financial close improvement, and post merger integration for large clients.

Clark is a CPA and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs. She earned a B.B.A. in accounting from Gonzaga University.
